Description
Signature Series, limited production Reserve Merlot 2005. Yarra Valley estate grown, produced and bottled. The grapes for this wine come off one of our oldest blocks. Planted in 1983, these vines are now producing consistently low yields and high quality fruit.
Only the best barrels of wine are selected to make our Reserve Merlot. As a result, only eight barrels were deemed of a high enough standard to make this blend.
Aged in French oak for 20 months the resultant wine is one of complete harmony and richness. A fine tannin structure supports a complex mix of dark plum fruit, varietal herbaceousness, earthy and mocha notes. While drinking beautifully now, it will definitely improve with correct cellaring.
