Signature Series, limited production Reserve Shiraz 2006. Sourced from low-yielding, un-irrigated premium vineyard in Heathcote, produced and bottled at our winery in the Yarra Valley. Grown on a vineyard in the ever increasingly popular Heathcote region in central Victoria, the grapes for this wine are tended to by an old Italian gentleman who�s hands are nearly as gnarled as the 50 year old vines. The vineyard is unirrigated and what fruit isn�t eaten by the marauding mobs of kangaroos and vandal flocks of cockatoos is left to develop into super concentrated and rich little berries. Ripe plum, dark berry fruit, white pepper and hints of green olives leap out of the glass. The palate is beautifully soft and rounded with a generous bouquet of fruit and well-integrated oak. A superbly textured wine, the firm, balanced tannins will soften with further bottle age. A great drink now, this will definitely reward the patient and temperate. Cellar: 10+ years
